Begmai rice
One of the most popular foods in Swat, but it has its own story of how and how this crop came from the natural beauty in Swat Valley.
This rice is known as a respected lady wife Bilquis Jan Afandi.
The one who brought his batch from Afghanistan in 1949 and cultivated it for the first time in Swat's Bagh Dherii area.
This lady was famous by the name of her wife. That's why the name of this rice is also known as Begmai Rice.
